Palimaru Paryaya - Akhanda Bhajane

Bhajan is the primary instrument to realisation in kali yuga.

Dhyāyan kr̥tē yajan yajñai strētāyā dvāparērcarya |
yadāpnōti tadāpnōti kalau saṅkīrtya kēśavaḥ ||
This verse from Vishnu Purana elucidates the same.

The fruit begotten by performing yagna during treta yuga, worship during dwapara yuga can be earned through glorification of His name during kali yuga.

In kali yuga, this is the only way that mortals can rid themselves of clusters of sins. Just as a pile of cotton turns into ashes upon coming into contact with a spark of fire within moments, likewise chanting His name burns away our sins quickly.

Dasarayaru annotates the same thus:

Dhyānavu kr̥tayugadi yajana yajñavu trētāyugadi
dānavāntakana dēvatārcane dvāparayugadi
ā mānavarigeṣṭu phalavō aṣṭu phalavu
kaliyugadi gānadali kēśava enalu kaigoḍuvanu raṅga viṭhala ||

In this manner, different primary means were presscribed to please Lord Keshava during the krita, treta and dwapara yugas and encomium meaning bhajan is the means during kali yuga. The reason as to why this is the primary means during kali yuga is thus:

Kalau kalmaṣa cittānāṁ | pāpadravyōpa jīvināṁ |
vidhi kriyā vihīnānāṁ | gatirgōvinda kīrtanaṁ ||

In kali yuga, it is impossible to perform penance with a fickle mind. Since the body is impure, reciting the sacred verses doesnt bear fruit, owing to the impurity in commodities, donations are futile. Thus, singing the hymns of Govinda is the only ray of light in kali yuga.

Malagi paramādaradi pāḍalu |
kuḷitu kēḷuva kuḷitu pāḍalu |
niluva nintare naliva
nalidare oliva nimagemba |
sulabhanō hari tannavaranara |
ghaḷige biṭṭagalanu ramādhava |
nōlisalariyadē pāmararu baḷaluvaru bhavadoḷage ||

As is evinced by Shri Jagannatha Dasa in Harikathamrutasara, an easy way to embrace the Lord is through bhajan.
